Boro
Rather than mending a ravaged textile (boro) to render it useful again, I use my remnants not to patch but to create anew. There is no planning ahead, the process is additive and requires a decision with every placement. The shibori reveals negative spaces that stitching fills in, or remains untouched when emptiness is needed.
Indigo, eucalyptus, rust, needle felting and thread.
