Like coral, I too
Turn white,
lose luster,
wonder why it needs to be
When I look at my life and its secret colors I feel like bursting into tears.
Albert Camus
Tears as response to all that is opposite
Joy as the other side of sadness
autumn as a second spring
when every leaf is a flower
not cracked and crumbling and near decay
but a flower at rest.
There is peace in dying
And strife in life.
colors explode and retreat
some bold, some shy
carrying their secrets inside
there is black, there is white
all color, no color
and what lies in between.
we can be blind but see
we can be deaf but hear
we can feel the beauty
and cry, cry because our hearts are opened
like coral, I too
turn white, loose luster
wonder why
it needs to be
and laugh, laugh at the indifference of the world
our lives are an eternal continuum
from white to black
ending only when our tears dry up.

Hidden Truths
Through the veils, Beauty
emerges, masking the flaws
underground, still there.
